When flying is the only option

By admin | June 1, 2007

Q. Surely it’s reasonable to fly if it’s the only way I can get there?

A. If there is no way of making your trip without flying, ask yourself whether you really ‘have’ to make the trip at all.

If it’s a business trip that you’re making, perhaps you should consider whether your meeting can be held by video-conference (hotels in all major European and North American cities have such facilities installed). Take the pledge and save money and time - and improve your family and social life near to where you live.

For many firms aiming to be profitable in a new, low carbon business world, flying around is increasingly outdated. Future-oriented business leaders are already moving to high-tech solutions that are ethically responsible, and increasingly more attractive to their customers and staff.
